Art Workshops
Sander is offering 1-day workshops for people who would like to explore oil painting, or for those who just like a day of creative me-time. It’s a worry-free day: you only bring old clothes and an open mind. All art materials, healthy food and drinks are provided.
Participants often say “I’m not creative”, “I can’t paint” or “Oil painting is intimidating”. Yet, at the end of a fun-filled day they walk out with two paintings, most of the time surprised with their own results! It’s true, if you want to get to know yourself, get in front of a canvas: all kinds of self-limiting beliefs come up, in everyone of us. In the workshop process, those beliefs dissolve. In that sense, painting is also an act of self-empowerment!
With Sander’s quirky guidance, you will learn the secrets of colour blending, and how you can mix a vast range of hues with only 3 colours and white. You’ll also learn about the 4 basics any painting needs: vision, composition, values and contrast. With these ‘simple’ tools you’re laying a strong foundation for your future artworks!
Leave your inner critic at home, come play and unleash your creativity! The day will be filled with inspiration, fun, anything goes – and a healthy lunch, all in Sander’s own art studio in Scarborough.

Number of participants: min 3, max 6. If we have to cancel because of too few registrations, you can opt to join the next workshop or receive a full refund. If yóu need to cancel later than 8 days in advance: 75% cancellation fee, or postpone to the next scheduled workshop (admin. costs 15%). No refund in case of cancellation 3 days in advance or no shows.
