Comment from Astrid McLeod, owner/curator of the well-known RKContemporary,  https://rkcontemporary.com/

“Congratulations Sander, on your first solo exhibition. I love the way you have combined the natural elements such a water, sky and vegetation to form a harmonious whole in your landscapes. I’m thrilled with my acquisition and look forward to finding a special place for it in my home.”

“Some years ago I joined a cycle ride through the Dutch landscape. We journeyed through diverse settings – open fields, alongside waterways, under huge wind farms, and through shady dark forests. Sander’s atmospheric painting, ‘Deep winter’ which we purchased, reminds me vividly of the Dutch forests we rode into. For me the painting evokes mystery and the energies of all the people through the generations, who would have walked between those trees and into that deep dark forest.         As the saying goes, ‘a painting is worth a thousand words’!”                  Nic Fine, Cape Town

“Sander’s paintings are a breath of fresh air. Warm, emotive, layered, like channeling a message”  -Mandy Swain, Cape Town
